Desert bliss

Hello All!
As I previously mentioned I went on an amazing trip to the desert! Floyds sister and brother inlaw came in from america so we went to Merzouga to ride camels. We met our driver at the bus stop and then were taken via landrover into the desert. After about an hour long ride we arrived at the hotel that leads these tours. At this point I almost didnt need a camel ride cause it had been 6 months since I was in an SUV so I already felt fulfilled lol. Anyway we drank mint tea while waiting for our turn and just in that little hotel I heard 5 different languages, tourists from all over the world were in toe. Then we got to ride the camels into our camp site. It was about an hour long ride and your inner thighs couldnt take much longer. I thought it would be scary as I dont like horse riding but it wasnt, the mount and dismount was a little shaky but that was all. It was amazing how well trained these camels were. Anyway once we arrived to camp the sun was about to set so we sprinted up this sand mountain and watched from the top. Simply beautiful. The sand was so pure and soft it almost felt like snow and every step you took your feet sank a foot. It almost made me a little homesick...reminded me of florida the minute i took my shoes off. So after the sunset we returned to our community tent where we ate delicious moroccan dinner. Then the 4 of us set up a blanket outside our tent and we watched the stars for hours. I can honestly say I have never seen that many stars in my life! It was breath taking. After we took a little moon lite stroll and watched the stars some more...you couldnt take your eyes off of them. Finally we went to sleep in the tent that is pictured. We were woken up quite early to see the sunrise but it was well worth it. We ate breakfast, said our goodbyes to the sand and mounted the camels for our hour treck back. The pictures really do speak for themselves. It was one of the coolest things I have ever done and the desert sand against the crystal blue sky is a vision I will never forget!
Hope you enjoy!
Love you!
Kris
